Mr. Oberdorf focuses his practice on corporate, venture capital and securities matters. He has assisted companies with their financing needs and negotiated venture capital deals, both early stage and later rounds, high-yield debt financings and has guided many companies through the initial public offering process. As an advisor to various companies, he has helped evaluate, negotiate and close numerous acquisitions, mergers and strategic joint ventures in the pharmaceutical, telecommunication, retail specialty goods and information technology areas. Mr Oberdorf has been especially active in the Life Sciences field, has represented several Pharma companies in their initial public offerings, represented venture funds in connection with investments in early stage Pharma companies, negotiated licensing transactions and performed general corporate work for Pharma and medical device companies. Mr. Oberdorf has also served as a member of the Board and the Audit Committee for several public companies.
