Biography
Mr. Kiker’s strong technical background, extensive business process experience, and over fifteen years of complex litigation experience combine to make him uniquely qualified to offer business process and legal advice to clients dealing with information governance and electronic discovery challenges. Mr. Kiker works with corporations and government agencies to facilitate and improve information management and discovery response capabilities, including the development and ratification of internal and external business and legal processes. He focuses on bringing together in-house counsel, information technology professionals, records and information management professionals, and business personnel to develop defensible, practical, and cost-effective business solutions to information governance and e-discovery challenges. Mr. Kiker also works with corporations to develop and implement cost-effective, defensible strategies in response to current demands for discovery, both paper and electronic. Mr. Kiker is also an experienced litigator, having represented clients on a variety of issues in state and federal courts across the nation, predominantly in products liability and commercial matters.
Prior to joining LeClairRyan, Mr. Kiker was Director of Professional Services at Fios, Inc., providing discovery readiness and response consultative services. Prior to Fios, he was a founding shareholder of Moran Kiker Brown PC, where he served as national discovery counsel for one of the largest manufacturing companies in the country. Mr. Kiker is a frequent speaker and author and an active participant in The Sedona Conference and Defense Research Institute. He is an AV-rated attorney admitted to practice in Virginia, Arizona and Florida. He holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
