Biography
Mr. Allen focuses his practice on corporate and business law and mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on advising closely held businesses, their owners and employees in all manner of transactions, including business formations, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, and restructurings. He regularly works with business owners in multiple areas of business organization, including choice of entity, negotiation of franchise agreements on behalf of franchisees, shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements and operating agreements. He advises businesses in areas of general operations such as leases, employee agreements and employee manuals, confidentiality agreements, noncompetition agreements and service agreements.
Mr. Allen also advises individuals in their management capacity, including directors and officers of corporations and managers of limited liability companies in areas including general duties of management, termination and severance. He serves in the capacity of general counsel to numerous businesses including manufacturing, consulting, lending, professional services and others.
In his sports law practice, Mr. Allen focuses on advising professional athletes and their advisors.
