Mr. Cuthbertson represents a broad range of clients in civil litigation before the state and federal courts of Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He focuses his practice on matters involving contracts, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, business torts, community association litigation, negligence, personal injury, premises liability, defamation, intellectual property, mechanic’s liens and real estate. Mr. Cuthbertson also represents financial institutions in banking and consumer financial services litigation, including the defense of class actions. He has testified before Congress and represented financial institutions before the U.S. Supreme Court on issues important to the finance industry.
