Ms. Conner focuses her practice on emerging growth companies in a variety of practice areas including entity selection and formation, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property matters, and a variety of financing transactions, including, but not limited to, venture capital transactions. Ms. Conner also regularly advises clients concerning issues relating to technology contracts.
Before practicing law, Ms. Conner worked in Virginia Commonwealth University’s Technology Transfer Office where she negotiated and drafted patent and technology transfer licenses, non-disclosure agreements, and material transfer agreements between the University and companies in a variety of technology verticals. Ms. Conner also has experience in trademark, copyright, and patent prosecution. As an undergraduate, she worked in an MRI research lab while obtaining a degree in Biomedical Engineering. While at University of Richmond School of Law, Ms. Conner served as the President of the Women’s Law Student Association and participated in the 2006 ABA Negotiations Competition.
The combination of Ms. Conner’s legal and technical background enables her to intuitively grasp a company’s technology development needs and provide practical solutions to address those needs within an appropriate legal framework.
