Robert Fletcher represents clients as lead counsel in technology and business litigation and trials. Mr. Fletcher has extensive experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, mass disaster torts, the False Claims Act, shareholder actions, IT contracts, and professional liability claims. Among the clients he has represented are medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, biotechnology companies, product manufacturers, investment companies, government contractors, professionals (including lawyers, title companies, and appraisers), retailers, and state and federal government agencies and associations. Throughout his career, Mr. Fletcher has worked extensively with expert witnesses in multiple matters and disciplines. Mr. Fletcher has served as counsel in hundreds of cases in federal district and appellate courts, state courts, and in arbitrations and mediations.

Mr. Fletcher’s recent experience includes a variety of complex litigation cases, including those involving information technology outsourcing contracts, the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, corporate ownership disputes, stock option derivative claims, distribution agreements, computer systems and data processing contracts, disputes involving government contractors, and false claims. He has led a number of patent, trade secret, and technology litigation matters, including cases involving licensing disputes, mobile tactical local area networks, medical devices, generic pharmaceuticals, industrial monitoring devices, biotechnology patents, and computer diagnostic systems.

Mr. Fletcher previously represented the FDIC and the Resolution Trust Corporation on a variety of matters, including contract claims, employment disputes, asset sales, professional liability claims involving the directors of a failed savings and loan, and has supervised a series of professional liability investigations involving allegations of insider and contracting fraud. He has also represented a national association of state government agencies on attorney-client and work product discovery disputes and in defense of breach of contract claims.
