Biography
Steve Brown understands the business operations of the private and public employers he represents and he provides creative strategies to manage labor, employment and business issues. He has over twenty years of experience in trying cases in state and federal courts all over the United States. He provides legal and strategic advice on all types of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, trade secret, non-compete, employment agreements, severance agreements, FMLA, labor and employment due diligence and workplace violence matters. Mr. Brown has written numerous articles and he has lectured on a local, regional and national level. Mr. Brown is also an Associate Professor at the University of Richmond. In the community, Mr. Brown is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank which was recognized in 2009 by Feeding America as the food bank of the year in the United States.
