Mr. Blake focuses his practice on employment and business litigation, as well as employment counseling and labor law.

In his litigation practice, Mr. Blake represents local and national clients before state and federal courts and agencies in all types of employment law claims including class actions, collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, wrongful discharge, discrimination and harassment, privacy and tort claims, non-compete and other contractual matters. Mr. Blake also represents clients in business and banking litigation matters and has defended financial institutions in Ponzi Scheme victim litigation and similar matters.

In his employment practice, Mr. Blake works with employers to provide strategic and tactical advice on all types of employment matters, including non-compete and trade secret issues, severance and employment agreements, government audits and investigations, reductions in force, employment policies, data protection and privacy matters and other compliance matters, as well as litigation avoidance strategies. In his labor law practice, Mr. Blake provides counsel and representation to employers in labor law matters including representation and compliance cases before the National Labor Relations Board, union relations, collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, union organizing campaigns, picketing, strikes and related issues.

Mr. Blake represents clients across a broad range of industries including healthcare, technology, food and beverage service and restaurants, retail, professional service firms, banks and credit unions.

Mr. Blake served on the Drafting Committees for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination’s Sexual Harassment Guidelines and Disability Discrimination Guidelines.
