Brian C. Lansing has joined LeClairRyan as senior counsel on the firm’s Compliance, Investigations and White Collar, Intellectual Property and Technology, and Commercial Litigation Teams. He will be resident in the national law firm’s Richmond, Va. office.
An experienced litigator, Lansing focuses his practice on complex commercial, intellectual property, qui tam, and white collar defense matters in federal and state courts and before government agencies. He offers clients nearly a quarter century of government, judicial, private practice, and corporate in-house legal experience and currently serves as the Chief Trial Judge of the Navy Reserve, holding the rank of Captain.
Lansing has significant experience in business torts, contract disputes, copyright, False Claims Act, fraud, patent, trademark, shareholder, and trade secret actions. In addition, his clients span industries as diverse as banking, communications, construction, government contracting, manufacturing, and service industries. Lansing is a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Richmond Bar Association, and North Carolina Bar Association.
A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D.) and University of Richmond (B.A.), Lansing is admitted to practice in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina.
