LeClairRyan Receives Virginia State Firm of the Year Award from Benchmark Litigation

LeClairRyan has been named Virginia State Firm of the Year by Benchmark Litigation for the fifth time. The firm was recognized at the U.S. Benchmark Litigation Annual Awards banquet on February 16, 2018 at the Pierre Hotel in New York. Elizabeth K. Acee (New Haven) and Richard “Deke” Bowerman (New Haven) of LeClairRyan accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

“Our Virginia litigation team is dedicated to helping our clients achieve their business objectives, and this award is well-deserved acknowledgment of their efforts,” said LeClairRyan CEO C. Erik Gustafson. “LeClairRyan is honored to be recognized by Benchmark Litigation for the fifth year.”

The results of Benchmark Litigation stem from the culmination of a six-month research period where researchers conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify the leading litigators and firms. During these interviews, researchers examine recent casework handled by law firms and ask individual litigators to offer their professional opinions on peers. Recommendations are based on interviews with the nation’s leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel.
