LeClairRyan Co-Founder Gary LeClair Named to Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame


Virginia Lawyers Weekly has named LeClairRyan co-founder Gary LeClair among the inaugural class of the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.

The publication created the distinction for Virginia lawyers age 60 and older. Criteria for inclusion in the hall include:

  • Career accomplishments
  • Contributions to the development of the law in Virginia
  • Contributions to the bar
  • Contributions to the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Efforts to improve the quality of justice in Virginia

LeClair served as chair of LeClairRyan for 28 years from the firm’s establishment in 1988, and as CEO until 2011. He is among 33 attorneys to receive the recognition.

The inaugural Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame class will be inducted at a ceremony on June 12, at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
