LeClairRyan is Pleased to Announce that Michael L. Landrum has Joined the Firm


LeClairRyan is pleased to announce that Michael Landrum has joined the firm as senior counsel on the firm’s construction, real estate, business litigation, and commercial contracts teams. He will be resident in the firm’s Houston office.

Michael is the former judge of the 113th Civil District Court, in Harris County, Texas, serving from May 2013 through 2018. He has been an attorney since 1976, dedicating his legal career to representing businesses and business people in matters involving a wide variety of litigation and appellate matters.

He has represented parties before state and federal trial and appellate courts in matters concerning contracts, real estate, business organizations, shareholder disputes, trade secret, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, banking, property tax and appraisal, construction, and commercial engineering.

Michael is one of only a select number of attorneys to hold certifications in the fields of both Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

For more than 25 years, he has been a member of the American Arbitration Association Construction and Commercial Case Arbitrator Panels. In that capacity, he has rendered final awards in more than 250 cases.

A graduate of the University of St. Thomas (B.A.) and the University of Texas (J.D.), Michael is admitted in Texas. He is a native Houstonian.
