LeClairRyan Adds Corporate, Litigation, and Regulatory Talent to Richmond Office


LeClairRyan recently added a varied set of new attorneys to its roster in Richmond, practicing within the energy industry, corporate services and business litigation.

C. Mitch Burton Jr. represents energy companies and other regulated enterprises. Burton joined LeClairRyan from the Virginia Attorney General's Office, where he served for more than six years as an assistant attorney general in the Insurance & Utilities Regulatory Section. A graduate of the William & Mary School of Law (J.D.) and University of Tennessee (B.A.), Burton is admitted in Virginia.

Miranda G. James focuses her practice on the defense of medical professionals. Her clients include health care institutions, physicians, psychologists, dentists and nurses. Prior to joining LeClairRyan, James was an active civil litigator. A graduate of the Widener University School of Law (J.D.) and Ohio State University (B.A.), she is admitted in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Reiner. H Smith focuses his practice on the representation of energy companies, property developers, service companies, lenders, and nonprofits. He advises clients in matters related to business formation, tax planning, estate planning for closely held business owners, financing, mergers/acquisitions, real estate transactions, and contract negotiation. A graduate of West Virginia University (B.A., J.D.) and the Southern Methodist University (LL.M.), Smith is admitted in Virginia.
