LeClairRyan Earns 95th Percentile in Annual National Corporate Equality Index

The national law firm LeClairRyan received a score of 95 out of 100 on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality.

The survey is administered annually by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for LGBTQ people.

“LeClairRyan’s mission to work toward greater inclusion means constantly seeking feedback,” President Elizabeth Acee said. “As a firm, we are proud of these results. We are always evaluating how we can do better, and we appreciate the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for providing a signpost.”

The 2019 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. LeClairRyan’s score reflects a commitment to LGBTQ workplace equality, with respect to tangible policies, benefits and practices.

LeClairRyan’s commitment to diversity includes a range of initiatives applied within the firm, the legal profession and the community. LeClairRyan’s Diversity Leadership Committee promotes inclusivity in all aspects of the firm, and the firm regularly supports community and professional organizations engaged in making society more equal.
