Ying Wang is a partner in LeClairRyan's New York City office. She focuses on helping clients navigate legal issues associated with international and domestic banking, finance and capital markets. She has extensive experience in banking and finance transactions involving complex cross-border elements, including:

  • Syndicated and bilateral lending transactions
  • Trade finance, factoring and letter of credit products
  • Secured/unsecured credit facilities
  • Leveraged financing
  • Acquisition financing
  • Commercial real estate financing
  • Debt, medium-term note and commercial paper programs
  • Derivatives products including rate, credit, interest, foreign exchange and commodities

Ying assists financial institutions, commodity trading firms, and commercial end users on negotiations and documentation of ISDA master agreements, securities lending, master repurchase agreements, collateral and other credit support documents. These transactions often include interest rate and credit derivatives, foreign exchange transactions, total return swaps and commodity transactions, as well as hedging activities in capital market transactions.

She also has experience advising international financial institutions on various banking agency regulations, including Dodd-Frank Act Title VII and cross-border guidelines. In addition, Ying counsels clients on the development of new financial services and the implications of various domestic and international bank regulatory considerations. She has worked with international banks developing internal policies on corporate governance, risk management and credit review. She also assists international banks planning to open branches, agencies, representative offices, broker-dealers and finance companies in the United States. 

Ying frequently speaks on financial regulatory and legal developments.
